What are the friendly battle rules?
The friendly battle rules are the same as the “tournament rules”, which consist of restricting levels of cards. Plus, the overtime when you’re tied in crowns is longer, up to three minutes instead of one. All your acquired cards will be balanced before the match. Your common cards are capped at level 8. Rare cards at level 5. Epic cards at level 3. Legendary cards at 1 and the king will be capped at level 8. Remember you need to level up your cards to that cap by buying buying cards and opening chests so you can battle in equal conditions with your clanmates.
How do I start a tournament in Clash Royale?
Though you can’t make an official tournament anymore by buying gems to spend them creating it on the app, you are perfectly capable of organizing your own thing. In clans you can benefit from the use of “friendly battles”. This type of battles won’t affect your trophies. You can play as much as you want with your friends with the condition that you have to follow “tournament rules” as I said before. This is not optional. The game compels you to do so in this type of battles. In the “Tournament” window of the app, they give you “challenges”. In those challenges, you have to buy your right to enter with gems and depending on whether you get to the 10 gems or 100 gems challenge, you will be awarded with gold and cards.
