What type of barbarian card should I use in 2017?

Well, the easiest answer is Elite Barbarians, or Ebarbs as I call them. They are simply the most overpowered barbarian card in the game. They hit a truck, move very fast and in each hit and if left unanswered they can wreck a tower from full hp to 0. They are also very good at defending against golems and giants. The way to counter them is having the log, buildings and cheap troops like skeleton army, goblin gang, to make them switch targets a lot so they can’t focus on one. If you are going to add them to a deck you are making, make sure you add a zap to deal with the skeletons and goblins in their path. You can add a rage spell and fire spirits to maximize the damage dealt.

The barbarian hut card is good when you make a strategy based on buildings, like when you add the tombstone, goblin hut, the furnace and cheap troops. This strategy is meant to overwhelm your opponent.
The battle ram is a lot like what the prince used to be. It’s a card to rush towers. When they speed up and hit something, the damage increases and two barbarians come out of it. It’s like the Ebarbs but more vulnerable since they don’t fight back. First they have the ram as a shield, that when it hits a building it disappears. It vanishes too when they are hit. Use it in a deck with a tank that you put on the front to block the damage. Try to use the elixir pump so you have an advantage and can rush your opponent with a tank+battle ram.

The regular barbarians are very useful for defenses against rushes like with hog riders, battle rams and princes. They work well against tanks too. Try to combine them with a tank so when you get to the increased elixir phase, you are able to put the tank, the barbarians and range damage units like mages or archers. Remember they are used mainly to defend, so always keep them just in case the enemy wants to rush you.goog
